About Us

Hi! My name is Stacy. I live with my family (Jarrod, Jude & Eva) in 1950's ranch home in Cahaba Heights, Alabama. Renovating our own spaces is what I guess we would call our hobby. We are creatives, but we aren't professionals. Well, Jarrod is a degreed industrial designer so I guess he's the only professional around here. But home renovation is something we do for ourselves. Jarrod and I began renovating together almost immediately after we met. We refinished my grandmother's dresser on our first date. The rest is history. 

Mountainside Home started off as a home blog but that's a lot of pressure on a little 1200 square foot house and husband that works 40-50 hours a week at a "normal" job. Our main focus is home renovation, which is what we do best together, but there will be a little bit of travel, food, and kid's fashion thrown in here every once in a while!

As you can see, we have a love for all things minimal. A minimal home, simple wardrobes, easy to follow recipes, and a family calendar with plenty of free time is our jam.
