Love in the Time of Coronavirus

We are currently on day 8 of our unexpected 3 week-long spring break. We’ve never lived through a pandemic before; our feelings about the situation have been changing day by day. We’ve had hopeful days, scary days, silly days, boring days, and utterly confusing & uncertain days. And I think that’s normal. It’s an uncertain time for us all, but I’m confident that living through an event that the entire earth is experiencing together is only going to bring us closer.

I’ve rounded up some helpful links that have been getting me through the week:

I bought a pair of these Ann Taylor Loft pants before it all went down, and just ordered another pair online. They’ve been perfect for these spring days at home. If I could describe these pants, I would say they lie somewhere in between a dressy pant and pajamas - need I say more?

Mark Rober is offering free science classes on his YouTube channel during the quarantine. My husband sat down with the kids last night and helped them make a schedule for their day, which includes a combination of household chores and online learning. I was extremely thankful, especially since working from home + homeschooling kids has brought on new frustrations and challenges.

My friend Lydia designed these amazing postcards that we plan on placing in our neighbors’ mailboxes. As hard as this time is for young families, I can’t imagine how extremely frightening it must be for the sick and elderly. Taking time to focus on helping others has been a great way to distract ourselves from the stress of the unknown.

Artifact Uprising is having a sale on their photo books today & tomorrow with the code: TELLON. We’ve had fun looking back on past adventures during our time at home! Looking forward to the day when we can all safely travel again!

The Happiness Lab produced a great podcast on How to Beat Your Isolation Loneliness. I think that staying connected during this time of isolation is very important for our mental health. This podcast gives you great ideas on how we can connect safely!
