Last year we decided it was time for a little dining room overhaul. We drew out plans for a new handmade dining table, picked out chairs, added our gallery frames, refreshed our rug, and were on the hunt for new lightning. Our theme for 2020 has been tired (we got the flu, TWICE), so that table isn’t happening anytime soon. We went with the easier option for now - lighting! Our previous low-hanging pendant light wasn’t really working in our space… it blocked one of the frames in our gallery wall and any type of greenery I brought into the space would always hit the pendant. Not ok! I searched far and wide for a Mid-Century chandelier that would allow space for a centerpiece and be high enough that it wouldn’t block our frames. This Bailey 6-Light Sputnik Chandelier from AllModern was exactly what we needed! It was such an easy update: installation took less than an hour! We love the selection of affordable lighting from AllModern - and fresh lighting is a great way to satisfy the remodelista who may not have the time (or health!) to do a full overhaul. Thank you, AllModern for partnering with us for this dining room lighting refresh! We love the way this chandelier works in the space: the antique bronze (which is actually more of a dark gray or black in person) works so much better than our previous chrome fixture. And if you keep scrolling down to the last photo you can’t help but appreciate how symmetrical the light is it is with our frames - hats off to the installer (husband) who adjusted it to the perfect height! I may have helped direct him, so I can take about 30% of the credit.
